Hallelujah, Q9: Audi's First Proper Full-Size SUV

Oh my god, it is unbelievable! Mercedes released its GLS almost twenty years ago, and the Bavarians sent the X7 to the market back in 2019. Meanwhile, Audi... well, they clearly spent all those years sipping some very long and tasty German beer. But a miracle has happened! Audi has finally decided to release a full-size, massive flagship SUV. Meet the new Audi Q9 and SQ9. This car is so huge that when you drive down the street, it feels like a solar eclipse. The wheelbase is 3,140 millimeters (3.14 meters)  hey, that is even more than a Chevy Tahoe! Despite its massive size, the engineers built it so compactly that it handles corners easily and is not as clumsy as a tank.

Inside, you will find three rows of seats. I recommend choosing the six-seat version because the second-row seats are so comfortable that you will feel like you are sitting in a luxury armchair in your living room. There is also plenty of space in the third row, and adults can sit comfortably.

The Q9 is equipped with a 429-horsepower, 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. It takes just 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h, which is definitely not bad for such a heavy vehicle. But if you are a speed enthusiast and always need a rush of adrenaline, you can choose the SQ9. This German machine will feature the same engine found in the RS6 Avant: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 591 horsepower, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. However, traffic in Tbilisi is so heavy that you probably won't be able to use it fully, but if you visit the Rustavi racetrack, you can definitely test all the capabilities of the SQ9. Remember: this monster weighs 2.5 tons! When you take a corner with a tank of this size, the laws of physics are rewritten.

Audi has always been obsessed with headlights, and the new digital matrix LEDs are no exception. The system is so smart that it does not blind oncoming drivers, and the turn signals project arrows directly onto the asphalt pure Hollywood. The price? The base package of the Q9 starts at $89,095 (234,123 GEL), while the wild SQ9 costs $119,395 (313,746 GEL). These beauties will appear in showrooms at the end of 2026.
