AMB 002: Aston Martin’s Cosmic Monster

Aston Martin is stepping up to a new level. A few days ago, the famous British luxury brand revealed its first motorcycle that you can actually ride on normal public roads (road-legal). This new project is another partnership with the motorcycle maker Brough Superior. To be fair, this is not technically the very first motorcycle from the brand. Back in 2020, the two companies made a super-exclusive bike called the AMB 001, and later in 2022, they released the powerful 225-horsepower AMB 001 Pro. Both bikes were amazing, but they had one big problem: you could only ride them on closed race tracks, never on city streets. Imagine taking your yacht to Monaco, wanting to show off your cool ride, but the law tells you that you cannot drive it on the street. The new AMB 002 weighs only 190 kilograms. It has a 1,083cc four-stroke, water-cooled V-twin engine that makes 128 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. The engine sits inside a strong titanium frame. The makers say the frame itself weighs just 5 kilograms. Because of this super light and smart design, the bike has a perfect 50:50 weight balance.Aston Martin’s chief designer, Marek Reichman, said that the AMB 002 is a mix of brave design and cool engineering, promising an amazing experience for riders and serious collectors. The looks are also super impressive. The body parts are made of carbon fiber, which gives the bike a tough, bold look. Honestly, when I looked at the first press photos, it immediately reminded me of the monster from Ridley Scott’s movie Alien.Aston Martin says that every single bike will be built by hand at the Brough Superior workshop in France. It will be very rare, with only 300 units made globally. The price is not official yet, but it will definitely cost more than the original AMB 001, which started at $100,000. The first bikes will be delivered in late 2027.
