Mercedes launched its GLS almost twenty years ago, and BMW brought the X7 to the market back in 2019, while Audi... well, Audi clearly spent all these years drinking some very long and delicious German beer. But a miracle happened! Audi finally decided to release a proper, huge flagship SUV. Meet the new Audi Q9 and SQ9.
This car is so big that when you drive it down the street, it feels like a solar eclipse. The distance between the axles is 3,140 millimeters (3.14 meters) wait, that is even bigger than a Chevy Tahoe! Despite its large size, the engineers built it so compactly that it easily fits into corners and is not as clumsy as a tank.
Inside, you will find three rows of seats. I recommend choosing the six-seater version because the second-row seats are so comfortable that you will feel like you are sitting in a luxury armchair from your living room, right in front of the TV. There is also plenty of space in the third row, and adults can sit comfortably.
The Q9 is powered by a 429-horsepower, 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. It takes only 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h. For such a massive weight, that is definitely not a bad result.
However, if you are a bit crazy and always feel a lack of adrenaline, you can choose the SQ9. This German monster is equipped with the same engine found in the RS6 Avant: the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 591 horsepower and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. But there are so many traffic jams in Tbilisi that I don't think you will be able to do it here. However, if you visit the Rustavi racetrack, you can definitely test the full capabilities of the SQ9 there. Remember: this monster weighs 2.5 tons! When you enter a corner with a tank of this size, the laws of physics will have to be rewritten.
Audi has always been a "fanatic" about lights, and the new digital matrix LEDs are no exception. The system is so smart that it does not blind oncoming drivers, and the turning indicator arrows project directly onto the asphalt pure Hollywood! Price? The base Q9 starts at $89,095 (234,123 ₾), while the crazy SQ9 costs $119,395 (313,746 ₾). These beauties will arrive in showrooms at the end of 2026.
